Speaking The Truth In Love

God’s Word is all powerful, not our words. God’s Word is a surgical tool, not ours. We are never sugarcoat God’s Word to make it digestible, we temper our words with love that God’s Word can do its job.

Read Ephesians 4:11-16

When do we stop speaking the truth in love? When we all come into the unity of the faith. This is not ecumenical unity, but that perfect unity in the presence of our Savior. This means, in the performance of our spiritual gifts, there is no end point to our command to speak the truth in love on this side of the grave.

Yes, love can come out bold and authoritative with power to get the point across, but it will never be in hatred. This balance is only found in the spirit of love with the spirit of a sound mind, (2 Timothy 1:7-9).
