by As Christmas 2024 passed into history, a stark reminder of Christmas goes on for the next 365 days. Countdowns started immediately on December 26th, and before we know it, Christmas sales will begin earlier than any other year. These countdowns and sales may or may not point to the Babe in the Manger, but they all point to His birthday celebration, nonetheless. No other holiday has such great anticipation in either the world or Christendom. No other holiday has such a countdown.
Christmas 2024 is over, now what do we do? Last week’s devotional answered this. We were converted with a mission to celebrate the message of Christmas before a lost and dying world for the next 365 days. Though we can and should enjoy all the fanfare in anticipating and celebrating Christmas 2025, we are to be focusing on one word throughout this new year, “salvation.”
For the next 365 days we are to be sharing what Christmas gave us — salvation — sharing it with all who will hear it and receive it. Everyone in the world knows that Christmas is about giving and receiving free gifts, and that is exactly what Salvation is (Ephesians 2:8-9), a free and eternal gift from that Babe in a Manger (Luke 2:11).
The gift of salvation is so easy to give and receive. In brief:

ADMIT you are a sinner (Rom. 3:23; Jam. 2:10)

KNOW God will punish sinners (Rom. 6:23; Rev. 20:14-15)

SEE Jesus paid all sinners’ debt (Rom. 5:8; 1 Pet. 2:24; John 19:30)

REPENT towards God as a broken hopeless sinner (2 Cor. 7:10; Acts 20:21; Luke 13:5)

BELIEVE on Jesus and what He did for you personally (John 5:24; Eph. 2:8-9)

ASK Jesus to save you (Rom. 10:13; John 1:12)
For the next 365 days, let’s celebrate Christmas with all our hearts and the greatest divine joy by sharing the message of Christmas, the free gift of salvation.
