WHAT WE DO KNOW FOR SURE, he is there or not there based solely on his biblical acceptance of Christ to save him and not salvation through Mary or the church. Examining what he has taught about Heaven and Hell, I can surmise that he is in Hell. However, though I stand firmly against who this man was and the false church that he was over, and I do speak out against these for leading many astray by their damnable heresies, I also let my eternal hope rest in the righteous judgment of God. The Pope was not the Anti Christ, but a living soul Jesus Christ died for, who is in the hands of a righteous God today.
HERE’S A THOUGHT TO PONDER — Can rulers of a religious sect whom Jesus condemned as vipers and hypocrites be saved with absolutely no evidence? Look at Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathaea, and Pharisees plural in passages such as John 12:42, 19:38-39. Many believed on Jesus but were secret disciples for fear of the system of religion they were under. Did these lose their salvation for not having any fruit? No. Then, if the Pope trusted in Christ as a child, though he became the man he died as, would he lose his salvation? If so, then we need to change our doctrine of eternal security which will demand a change to many other doctrines. Before we know it, we will have nothing but damnable heresy ourselves. This is not to say that he ever biblically trusted Christ as Savior, but a thought to ponder.
POINT OF FACT taught by Peter, “to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ,” is that if we do not “add to your faith” we will have “forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.” The key word is “forgotten” not lost! (2 Peter 1:1-9).
HERE’S A THOUGHT TO PONDER — If the Pope is in Hell condemned by his own false teachings, I am pretty sure he would be pleading that we do not slam him but rather exalt the truth of the Gospel to those he deceived. We find this in Luke 16 where the rich man in Hell cried out, “I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.” (Luke 16:27-28). Abraham’s answer to this rich man was that the truth is already being faithfully exalted by soulwinners, as he said, “They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead” (Luke 16:29-31).
HERE’S THE THOUGHT TO PONDER — The Gospel does the Pope no good now, but those who are alive are waiting for the true message of hope. HOWEVER, “THEY HEAR NOT MOSES AND THE PROPHETS” IF WE ARE TOO BUSY CONDEMNING THE POPE TO HELL AND NOT TAKING THE GOSPEL TO THOSE HE DECEIVED! I take this rebuke upon myself, to be more sensitive to those who are standing alive before me who need the Gospel message, while not excusing the Pope and who he was or any other cult or heresy.
“But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:” (Ephesians 4:15)
THE ENTRANCE TO HEAVEN is not through the Pope, or Mary, or any religion, or any cult, or baptism, or slaying of the Spirit, or any amount of good works or money, and the list goes on, and on, and on. Jesus said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)
