God’s Plan For A Godly Society

society1_1200x628

Today, the gradual erosion of the family and the disappearance of the male authority figure in the home have twisted society ethically, spiritually and morally creating a generation of people without shame or blush. Along the way, the roles between the family, society and the church have been utterly reversed. Society develops overreaching social programs while the church develops outreaching children’s programs, each with good intentions for supplementing the biblical responsibility that the family, particularly fathers, has neglected.

Sadly, the erosion of the “male” is prophesied in many ways at the end times. Today, II Timothy 3:1-5 is being fulfilled in the lives of men: “…in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Regardless of how it is traced through history and regardless of current trends in society, God’s biblical plan to heal the destruction and the wickedness of society has never changed. God has imparted upon the family, not society or the church, as the responsibility of training up children. When this responsibility is taken serious and scripturally adhered to, the affects of God’s plan radiates from within the family outward into the church and then into society.

God’s Plan for a Godly Society:

Θ Father’s are responsible to rear their children “in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4)

Θ Resulting in “obedient children” who are “holy in all manner of conversation” (Ephesians 6:1-2; I Peter 1:14-15)

Θ Resulting in men and women “able to teach others also” (II Timothy 2:2)

Θ Resulting in employers that are “just and equal” (Colossians 4:2)

Θ Resulting in godly employees that “obey in all things … not with eyeservice, as menpleasers” (Colossians 3:22)

Θ Resulting in “faithful children not accused of riot or unruly” (Titus 1:6)

AMERICA NEEDS REVIVAL

If America is going to see revival, it must start in the family, starting with the father on his knees heeding II Chronicles 7:14

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(II Chronicles 7:14)
