From the quotes above, sunlight is our best source for Vitamin D. It is scientifically proven also that sunlight improves mental health and increases our serotonin which assists our melatonin which in turn helps us sleep at night. Vitamin D is just one aspect of our body’s total dependency on the sun’s light. Spiritually, we are equally and wholly dependent on the Son’s Light.
Light in the Bible is often used as a representation of truth and morality. The world was created to be both physically and spiritually aligned with the moralities of the godhead. When the second person of the Trinity came in deity of Jesus Christ, John said, “In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1:4-5). Jesus said to us in John 8:12, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Paul taught of these in 2 Corinthians 4:6, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.” John went on to say in 1 John 1:7, “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
God’s light is eternal and will not end when our physical life ends. His Light prepares us to live with Him for eternity (Revelation 21:23; 22:5). Thus, we need the Sonlight of the deity of Jesus Christ to be our eternal, spiritual Vitamin D.
